Allan and I decided to have dinner at Newton, where my co-workers eat after a big day or event in Singapore. It’s just about 3 stops from our place. We went there at around 8pm.

After Newton Station exit, just a short walk, there’s this overpass to NFC (hey, use overpass!😉 for your safety)

Newton Food Centre (纽顿熟食中心) is a major food centre located in Newton, Singapore. The food centre was promoted by the Singapore Tourism Board(STB) as a tourist attraction for sampling Singaporean cuisine. It was first opened in 1971 and it closed down in 2005 as the government wanted to revamp the food centre. The food centre then went through a major renovation before reopening on 1 July 2006.

It’s like a circle of food stalls where there are tables and chairs. It’s a food center that operates only by night time. Where you can enjoy a cup of beer and their Singapore’s signature dishes after a long day of work. But it’s not like clarke quay where Singapore Night Life is located.

As we went there we already think of what to order, and because we were craving for their spicy baby squid, it’s in our no. 1 list! 😃 and of course their grilled chicken wings. 🙂

(spicy baby squid is 15/20/25 sgd per plate)

(here’s our order, 15$)

Ahhh! This one! Allan and I love laksa very much, this is SG signature laksa.

Chicken wings!!! 😋 1.40$/pc

Woot! Chow time! Busog lusog! 😋 #HappyTummy!

Chura ng mga busog lusog. Hahaha!

Sulit and masarap dito sa Newton Food Centre!
